Major Political Parties of Haryana

In every state, there are political parties that operate only in that state. These are called local parties. Local political parties of Haryana are discussed as follows:

Bharatiya Lok Dal

It was founded Chaudhary Devi Lal in 1974 after he won the by election from Rori Constituency of Haryana. The election symbol of this party was a farmer poughing the land. In 1987, Chaudhary Devi Lal became the Chief Minister of Haryana after winning the elections from this party. In 1990, this party got split.

Janata Dal

This party was formed on 11lth October, 1988 as a result of the merger of Janata Party, Lok Dal (B) and Jan Morcha.
